Oracle cards are yet another fantastic tool that can be used for guidance. Are you seeking clarification on things your intuition has been telling you? Or maybe you have questions about a looming decision, oracle cards provide a way to receive clarification and messages.
This article will go over my best practices, what I use them for and also my favorite decks that I have been using over the years!
What Are Oracle Cards?
It is important to note that Oracle decks are not a proven method of foreseeing one’s future, yours and others free will come into effect with the end outcome.
What they offer is a deep tool for self reflection, prompting actions, providing clarity, along with receiving higher messages from your guides.
Fortunately you don’t need to be an expert to start! Each deck comes with a handbook, providing a detailed explanation on each card’s meaning. Along with a few methods of how to pull the cards (I will share my methods also).
How I Use Oracle Cards
The beginning of any card pull comes from putting forward your question, the clarity you are looking for. Here’s a few examples!
- Show me what is for my highest good
- What area do I need to focus on right now
- Show me insight towards “fill in your situation”
While you are thinking or asking the question make sure to be holding the cards in your hands, allowing your energy to transmit into them. This is the time to ask your question, and set the intention for the pull.
Next comes the shuffling, I move the cards through my hands until one or a few fall out. Sometimes it takes more than one card for our guides to provide us the answer’s we need! Take note in the order of which they fall and even the orientation of the card. These details matter when you look for the deeper meaning.
Now read the cards in the order which they presented themselves to you, using your handbook as the guide. Make sure to take the time and read the intro of the handbook, it will explain the specifics of the deck to you!

Oracle Cards for Beginners
As someone dipping their toes into connecting with spirit, oracle cards are a fantastic tool that anyone can begin to harness for themselves.
Personally I like Kyle Gray’s decks to start, he has a wide range of deck styles. His cards also offer direct, actionable information that can be used on a day to day basis.
Make sure to read the handbook, it provides more information on the deck itself. It’s important to learn the tool you are using, also the more energy you put into the cards the more connected it will become with your energy.
